Chili Cook-Off Rules

1. Deadline to enter a team:  September 21, 2008
   
2. Entry fee is $20.00
   
3. Chili must be cooked at home or other location and brought to location for judging.
   
4. Chili must be served from a Crock-Pot, Dutch oven, or other warming device.
   
5. Each team must supply their own ladle to serve chili.
   
6. Cook’s meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m.
   
7. Judging will be done by a panel of judges.  Each team must supply a 16 oz. cup of chili for judging.
   
8. Serving will start at 11:30 a.m.
   
9. No fillers (ex:  rice or macaroni) will be allowed except beans.
   
10. Mixed meats are acceptable.
    
11. Teams must provide at least 3 gallons or more of chili for the competition.

Prizes will be as follows

First Prize:  $250.00
Cash plus the Dunlap Traveling Trophy

Second Prize:  $150.00 Cash

Third Prize:  $50.00 Cash

Peoples Choice:  $25.00 Cash

Best Presentation:  $200.00 Cash
